Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana say that when someone walks into one of their stores they should feel like a superstar in a dream world, in line with the philosophy behind their clothing: refined, sensual and luxurious.

The brand’s stores certainly share these characteristics, and offer an ambience that is different from that of any other luxury brand. Stefano and Domenico themselves take an active part in the design and decoration of their locales, in which dark colours and refined materials predominate. The lighting is carefully planned to make customers feel as if they were under the spotlights on a red carpet.

The directives provided by the duo are implemented by various renowned architecture studios, including Piuarch from Milan, which designed their offices at Via Broggi, and Ferruccio Laviani, which has worked with them on other projects such as restaurants (Gold), bars (Martini), multipurpose rooms (Metropol) and original locales such as the Barber Shop in the men's store on Corso Venezia in Milan.
